Shortly before the end of the year, the world market leader MAHA acquires the measuring device manufacturer EWR. The two companies have already been closely associated for many years.

Haldenwang, 7th December 2021. EWR, founded in 1986 by Winfried Rauch, the entrepreneur who passed away, and his wife Emma Rauch, was taken over 100% by MAHA Maschinenbau Haldenwang GmbH Co. & KG on December 3rd, 2021.

Through the long-term relationships between the two companies, a very close business relation has been built. The globally successful company MAHA saw the opportunity to acquire EWR and took this chance. Due to the already existing synergies, the merger was only a logical step.

EWR in Leutkirch produces measuring devices for vehicle testing technology in the workshop sector. Especially in the context of main inspections (TÜV, DEKRA, etc.), the portable exhaust gas measuring devices from Leutkirch have been used successfully for decades in the local and international market for diesel and petrol-powered vehicles.

"We are very happy to have had the opportunity to take this step and see the acquisition of EWR as a positive development for both companies. EWR remains a very solid and secure partner for its customers. In addition, we can offer the employees of EWR attractive and safe workplaces," says Stefan Fuchs, Managing Director of MAHA who is now also Managing Director of EWR.
